Pre-Conference Workshops

In addition to the Conference program, delegates have the opportunity to attend pre-conference workshops. There are five workshops prior to the conference to choose from as well as an optional lunchtime presentation and lunchtime masterclass during the conference.

To attend a workshop, delegates must nominate their preference at the time of Conference registration. There is no additional fee to attend. Please ensure you register early, as places are limited.

The aim of this pre-conference workshop is to provide a forum to consider the current public health guidance provided by the Global Solar UV Index.

Surveillance of skin cancer risk factors

This pre-conference workshop will cover surveillance of skin cancer risk factors, including policy analysis and surveillance methods used to measure sun protection and indoor tanning policies.

SunSmart Schools and Early Childhood Program

This is an opportunity to explore the barriers, challenges and enablers of implementing a skin cancer prevention program in early childhood services and primary schools from the Australian perspective.

Advocacy: Winning on solarium bans – insights and the inside story from NSW

This pre-conference workshop will trace the process that led to New South Wales (NSW) being the first jurisdiction in Australia and the second in the world, to introduce a ban on commercial solaria.
