This pre-conference workshop will highlight the elements of good quality and innovative shade (both natural and built) and how it is best achieved. It is aimed at local government, open space/urban planners and health/social planners.

Discussions will include how to put shade and UV protection on the agenda and ensure it is embedded in various policy domains ie. built environment, health/social planning and municipal public health plans.

The workshop is a joint cooperation of the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV), the Victorian Government’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and Cancer Council Victoria.

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.
