Professor Adèle Green
When people think of medical research they often think of cures and treatment but I realised early on that we also needed to look at prevention and lifestyle. It was unusual at the time to look at the disease upstream of the normal treatment paradigm.
Adèle Green is a Senior Scientist and Head of the Cancer and Population Studies Group at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute. Ultraviolet carcinogenesis and prevention of melanoma and other skin cancers has been a major focus of her research.
